Barney Ross is the leader of a tough team of skilled fighters called the Expendables. His team includes Lee Christmas, who’s great with knives, Yin Yang, a martial arts expert, Hale Caesar, who handles big weapons, Toll Road, a demolitions guy, and Gunner Jensen, a wild sniper. They are hired by a man named Mr. Church to take down a cruel dictator on a small island in South America. Barney and Lee visit the island first to see what they’re up against. While there, they meet a brave local woman named Sandra, who is caught in the middle of the war. They soon realize the fight is much bigger and more dangerous than they thought. After escaping, Barney learns that Sandra stayed behind. Now, he must decide whether to leave the island and protect himself, or risk everything to go back and save her. His choice could cost him his life, but it might also help him find peace.

Synopsis / Plot
Barney Ross leads the “Expendables”, a band of highly skilled mercenaries including knife enthusiast Lee Christmas, martial arts expert Yin Yang, heavy weapons specialist Hale Caesar, demolitionist Toll Road and loose-cannon sniper Gunner Jensen. When the group is commissioned by the mysterious Mr. Church to assassinate the merciless dictator of a small South American island, Barney and Lee head to the remote locale to scout out their opposition. Once there, they meet with local rebel Sandra and discover the true nature of the conflict engulfing the city. When they escape the island and Sandra stays behind, Ross must choose to either walk away and save his own life – or attempt a suicidal rescue mission that might just save his soul.
